The League of Women Voters of Indiana County donated an out of doors bench to the White Township Recreation Complex/S&T Bank Arena. LWVIC continues to associate with the Evergreen Conservancy within the Bags to Benches program. Outdoor benches have been put in in eight Indiana County areas.
For every outside bench, 500 kilos of plastic movie are collected within the county and despatched to the Trex Co., which recycles the plastic to make composite lumber. Trex delivers a polylumber bench to Indiana County.
The public can take part on this recycling effort. Collection bins are positioned on the Indiana County YMCA, Indiana Borough Building and White Township Recreation/S&T Bank Arena. Types of plastic that may be recycled embody: grocery luggage, bread luggage, water and smooth drink case overwraps, dry cleansing luggage, newspaper sleeves, ice luggage, wooden pellet luggage, Ziploc and different re-closable luggage, produce luggage, bubble wrap, salt luggage and cereal luggage.
